Our company supervisor recieved a call that every service dreads recieving. The one notifing you your crew was involved in a accident and crew members are injuried. This was the call that our supervisor recieved July 28, 2007 at 2331 hours from the York and Adams counties 911 center. As our Supervisor and Lead EMT were enroute to the scene, The local emergency services were already responding. When they arrived they found two vehicles and a ambulance on its side with one EMT laying in the street being  prepared to be flown to the Trauma Center in York.

It was later learned that immediately after the accident took place both EMT exited the ambulance and began providing care to the victums until one of the EMT passed out in the street from her injuries.

Following the investigation it was determined the cause of the accident was caused by a drunk driver that ran the stop sign in a exccess of eighty five miles an hour striking the patient compartment of the ambulance and flipping onto another car before sliding off and down the street fifteen feet were it came to rest against a tree. It was also determined that if it would not have been for the crew wearing their seat belts the accident could have been fatal.
